Curtis Little - Partner, Acquisitions and Development

As Managing Partner, Curtis leads the company's strategic growth by securing and developing prime real estate assets. He oversees all phases of property acquisitions, from initial underwriting and deal negotiation to project execution, including leasing and construction.  Prior to forming Mount Oak, Curtis held senior acquisition roles at two prominent real estate firms: Managing Director of Acquisitions at Geyer Morris Company and Vice President of Acquisitions at Core Property Capital.  His portfolio of successful projects includes developments for notable clients such as Starbucks, Dunkin', Arby's, Orange Theory Fitness, Walgreens, Buffalo Wild Wings, Lazy Dog, Taco Bell, Outback Steakhouse, and others. 

Curtis, an avid tennis player and fitness enthusiast, lives in Charleston, SC, with his wife, Blakely, their son, Dean, and their golden retriever, Posie. He and his wife are passionate about travel and exploring coastal destinations, frequently escaping to the Mediterranean whenever their schedules allow. Curtis holds a BS in Business Administration from the College of Charleston and a Master of Real Estate Development from Georgetown University.

Jon Coe - Partner, Acquisitions and Finance

Jon is a seasoned real estate professional with over 13 years of experience in investment, finance and property development. As head of finance he oversees equity and debt structures for both new and existing projects. He capitalizes each investment using a combination of internal Family Office equity as well as funds from strategic capital partners. Jon’s relationships with a variety of lenders, helps create the right capital stack for each Mount Oak investment. Jon leads the company’s asset disposition efforts. His specialized focus on NNN lease structures and a keen eye for maximizing value has led to the acquisition, financing, and disposition of a wide array of real estate assets across the Southeast US. This has enabled Mount Oak to become a trusted partner to several investors and tenants in the Southeast US national retail market.

Prior to starting Mount Oak, Jon worked at AIG in wealth management. During his 7 years with AIG his relational approach helped in tailoring each client’s portfolio, according to their individual risk tolerance in congruence with their personal financial goals. 

Jon resides in San Antonio, TX. Outside of his professional role, Jon is passionate about spending time with his Wife and 3 kids, close friends and mentoring young professionals. He enjoys playing golf, tennis and a frothy Guinness. He earned his B.A. in Financial Management from Clemson University.

Chris Clayton - Design and Permitting Director

With over 20 years of experience in commercial development, development analysis, site design, civil engineering, and related permitting, Chris Clayton is Mount Oak's Design & Permitting Director specializing in small-scale commercial and retail development across the United States. At Mount Oak, Chris plays a key role in assisting with site selection and feasibility, conducting in-depth  zoning, engineering, and utility availability research, as well as preparing site test fits tailored to meet tenant requirements.  Once a site is deemed viable, Chris collaborates with Mount Oak's selected Land Surveyors, Civil Engineers and Architects to procure required plans necessary for navigating the entitlement process to secure all required permits prior to construction.  Additional roles include QA/QC of civil engineering and architectural plans to ensure full coordination as well as communicating with Mount Oak's General Contractors as needed during the bidding process as well as throughout construction.  

Throughout his career, Chris has led and managed hundreds of projects for quick service and casual dining restaurants, multi-tenant commercial spaces, branded hotels, convenience stores, auto service centers, and general retail facilities.  In an engineering role prior to working in the development sector, Chris worked in the geotechnical engineering field and is a Licensed Geologist in the State of North Carolina. 

A North Carolina native who has lived in the Triangle area nearly his entire life, Chris enjoys the outdoors, working out, playing tennis, and spending time with his wife and two teenage children.

Holly Ott - Project Coordinator

As Project Coordinator at Mount Oak, Holly Ott brings a unique blend of operational expertise and project coordination skills to ensure efficient, on-time project delivery. With extensive experience in managing multi-location operations, property management, leading remote teams, and optimizing cross-departmental workflows, Holly is adept at enhancing communication and driving seamless project execution. Her strengths in time management, budgeting, and vendor relations further support Mount Oak's mission to deliver projects on time and within budget.

An Ohio native, Holly has called Charleston’s Lowcountry home for over a decade. She is also a dedicated boy-mom to one and enjoys the area's loving community, natural beauty and rich history. Holly’s proactive approach, detail-oriented mindset, and strong commitment to both her work and family make her a valuable asset to any team.

Jalen Pegram - Finance Associate

As a Finance Associate at Mount Oak, Jalen oversees a wide range of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, land purchasing, sales and loan closings, tenant coordination, and investor correspondence. Jalen’s role involves prioritizing smooth financial processes and supporting the company’s strategic goals. Prior to joining Mount Oak, Jalen worked in the Commercial Real Estate department at Frost Bank, where he managed syndicated loans, prepared detailed reports, and handled various loan operations.

Jalen hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Jalen continues to call this city home. Outside of work, Jalen enjoys spending quality time with family and staying active through basketball and golf, sports he has loved since childhood.

Roy little - CIVil Consultant

With over 40 years of experience in civil engineering, Roy is a valuable asset to Mount Oak as a Civil Consultant. His expertise in efficient civil design and construction techniques proves invaluable when tackling intricate projects, optimizing both processes and outcomes.

Prior to joining Mount Oak, Roy owned Terrain, Inc., a civil engineering firm in Annapolis, MD. There, he focused on land development with project experience in almost every real estate asset class. Prior to Terrain, Inc., Roy worked for other land engineering firms and served as Chief of Inspections for the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works. Roy is a registered professional engineer in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. He has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University.  

Roy and his wife split their time between Charleston, SC and Annapolis, MD. When not doing house projects, he can be found hunting, fishing or surfing.
